Mike
Michaud was born in Millinocket and raised in Medway, Maine. He grew up valuing hard-work,
community, and Maine's outdoor heritage. He followed in the
footsteps of his father and grandfather and worked in the Great Northern Paper
Mill in East Millinocket. Mike worked at the mill for over 29 years before
being elected to Congress in 2002.
Mike Michaud has taken the experience of his hometown and his
experience as a millworker to the floor of the United States
Congress. As a working class Mainer, Mike
is in a unique position among members of Congress to understand the problems
facing real Americans here and around the country.
Mike has been working as Maine's Congressman for
eight years. Mike is
fighting hard every day to protect and promote American jobs, to honor and
serve our veterans, to set a path for energy independence and
to ensure that Maine gets the investment we need to grow and prosper.
